If you are planning a move, whether local or long distance, you must be having a lot of questions in your mind about packing, moving, cost, etc. Here are answers to some of the most frequently asked questions:
What is involved in an in-home estimate?
During an in-home estimate, an estimator will visit your home and estimate the volume/weight of all your belongings that you’ll be moving. He will also discuss move details such as dates, packing services, etc. At the end of the visit, your estimator will draft a customized written estimate for your review.
I have to reschedule my move. What should I do?
Contact your relocation consultant as soon as your move dates have changed. He can process any changes to your plan and discuss updates. Remember that your moving cost estimate may change depending on the dates you selected.
What is a non-binding estimate?
A non-binding estimate charges you according to the actual weight of your shipment, or the time it took to move it, plus the actual cost of the services that your requested and were needed. With a non-binding estimate, there are chances that your actual moving cost may increase up to 10% more than the estimated cost. You may ask your mover for a Binding Estimate, so you could work within a budget.
